Well, tomorrow is the last day of the Christmas vacation. While I enjoyed the sleeping in and living in our pj’s for most of the last two weeks, I will be happy to get back to our routine again. As you noticed I did take a break from the blog. I was online as I like to share and chat with my family and friends on the interwebs, but the most part my time was either relaxing (being sick with a cold) or doing stuff with the kids and just wasn’t in the mood for writing.
Sickness in the house did pull down the mood of the household over the holidays, but I think we needed the quiet time too. One thing I am glad we did was entertain. We haven’t had people in our house for a long time (except for kids) and it was so great to have friends accept our invitation to come and hang out with us for an evening. It was a welcome break from the norm.
I haven’t done any giveaways or talked about Proctor & Gamble for a while apart from Habitat for Humanity (email me to join my team), The P&G products were out in full force over the holidays to help out.
With 3 cats and 2 dogs, the fur and dust in this house is insane. It can basically last dust free for about 5 minutes. So the Swiffer dusters are great…they are also fun enough that the kids will happily help with this task.
The concentrated formula of this Mr. Clean line is great. I mix it with water in spray bottle and it is my economical go to for keeping walls and counters clean. I did a fairly big house clean right before Christmas and then managed to ‘maintain’ the look of cleanliness for the rest of the holiday.
And for the toys…..all the electronics….we had talking baby dolls, shower radios and shower speakers and spider robots this year that all needed batteries.
All of these helped us keep the house looking magical.
So today am tackling taking all the decorations down and finding the right boxes and getting them all to storage locker. We are supposed to get crappy weather overnight. For the rest of BC this mean snow, but for us will probably just mean freezing rain but not weather for getting stuff done so HOPEFULLY get the outside lights down too. Phew.
THEN I suppose prepping for school lunches come Monday. Boo.
