Lottie is new to Canada and we just love her. She has been a huge hit in this house that was previously dominated by all things Barbie. What is Lottie? , Lottie is an award-winning doll for children aged 3-9, her aim is to encourage healthy and positive body image. The key point of difference is that Lottie has a ‘childlike’ body, doesn’t wear makeup, jewellery or high heels and can stand on her own two feet (always a useful life skill for all girls, big and small).
Since her launch in 2012, Lottie is now on sale in 30 countries, has won 19 international awards including a Canadian Toy Testing Council 3-Star Award and Neighbourhood Toy Stores of Canada (NETS) Gold Star Winner, and received press coverage in the Huffington Post, Toronto Star and City News etc. In Canada, Lottie is available in retailers including Mastermind, Toys R Us and independent toy stores ( the full list of vendors can be checked here.
I like her a lot. She reminds me of the Pippa dolls I had back in the 70’s. Due to her size, she is a perfect traveling doll for trips and vacations. She and her accessories don’t take up a lot of room.
There are a great selection of Lottie dolls…we received the Sailor and the Pony Rider and Tara immediately got down to the business of playing with them. She loves that they fit her dolls house nicely too. You can add costumes and accessories to the dolls you already have or pick the ‘themed’ dolls that you like too. The pony is available too.
Lottie gets totally away from boyfriends, glamour, party and high heels. Lottie is about age-safe fun without questions about gravity defying boobs, or does my purse match this outfit. Lottie has everything a little girl needs from a doll….long hair to brush, fun clothes to wear and great adventures to head out on.
