Phew! Just in time for Christmas!!!
Leapfrog have given me a Tag Junior to giveaway to my vast army of readers!
The Tag Junior is for ages 2 to 4 years and retails for $39.99. LeapFrog revolutionized how kids learn to read with its LeapPad® Learning System, then did it again in 2008 with the Tag Reading System, for children from ages 4 to 8 years old. Tag Junior brings stories to life in a way that is just right for 2- to 4-year olds, encouraging little ones who are first discovering books to begin building a lifelong engagement with reading.
My two oldest have grown out of the Tag System, but it was a great confidence builder for both of them and helped my son who was having trouble with reading at the start.
Tara is at the perfect age for the Junior (2.5) as she is emulating her siblings reading books and loves us to read to her.
For kids like me who are addicted to all things electronic, having things around that are actually beneficial educationally for them, is a bit of relief to guilt ridden parents like me!
If you want to try to win one…leave me a comment below about what your first memories were when it comes to books and we will draw a name on December 15th. That should be enough time to get it before Christmas.
Canadian entrants only…sorry US!

With three kids in the house we have a lot of books! My daughter loves completely different stories than my boys! They are both readers- she is a copy cat! She saw a show once about a little girl with a story box- and now has a large cardboard box in her bedroom full of stuffies and she goes in and makes up stories! Hours of fun! Her favorite reading stories are fancy nancy.
I remember reading with my parents- Swallows and Amazons, Little House on the Prarie, Enid Blyton, and Pierre Burton… yes Pierre! lol I bet we did younger kids stuff too but I dont remember as well-

Books have always been a part of my life. I can’t remember a time without them.

I didn’t grow up with much money, and books to keep were HUGE treats. We used the library. So when I’d open my stocking to see books-BLISS. Although proof of my nerdness was apparent early on when I asked for a thesaurus for Xmas…one I still have!

I would read “The things you could Think” by Dr. Seuss over and over again while laying on my grandparents shag carpet twirling it around my fingers. I still love that book and love reading it to my kids.

Reading the Bobbsey Twins out loud with my dad. I read. He monitored. 🙂 Also, when he read, he’d skip words or pages and then I got all upset when he did. 🙂

I loved Curious George growing up. It was a fantastic series and my parents read them with em.
