The kids have done a great job prepping for Father’s Day without my hell this year. Breakfasts are planned and gifts are made all ready to celebrate dear old dad.
I thought as I have already waxed poetic about Father’s Day over on CBC Parents, I would plug Proctor & Gamble a bit as they have managed to keep that STAPLE of Father’s Day’s for decades fresh and fun…yup, you know it. OLD SPICE! 🙂
Seriously…..Mr. cool himself thought the selection from Old Spice was great and was quickly grabbing his picks from the box of goodies I received for June. The Hawkridge body spray and the Hawkridge Body Wash have been well received and would make GREAT gifts for any dads tomorrow.
Another product that got compliments from both the husband and my brother-in-law is the Gillette Fusion shaving system. Both brothers like the brand and that type of razor. Kudos to you Proctor and Gamble.
Brands like Gillette and Old Spice are names that stick with families and are products that get passed down from one generation to the next. If Dad used Gillette, so will the son and so on. Brand loyalty can cross the ages. I use Olay products because that was what my mom was using and taught me about. The same goes for Always, Tide and many other brands. Not that I want a bottle of Tide for Mother’s Day.
So thank you Proctor and Gamble for a trip down memory lane on Father’s Day.
And thank you hun, for being a great dad to our screaming hordes.
You have always been there for them when they need you.
