In their continuing efforts to switch me from the ‘dark side,’ they sent me another Samsung smart phone to check out. This one was the Samsung Galaxy Ace II X. I am still gaga over the Galaxy III, it is a beauty but for someone like me feels a bit too flimsy due to its larger size. The Galaxy II is small (iPhone size) and feels nice and solid in my back pocket without losing all the cool features that I adored in the III. Telus suggests this model also as a good starter device to teens and tweens. The solid feel of this phone would make me agree with that statement.
Telus Smartphone Deals
Telus is currently offering the Galaxy Ace II for $29 on a three year term with their $50 minimum monthly rate plan and requires no data commitment. Telus has gotten rid of their activation fees and are making changing or upgrading your old device easier too. The major feature that Telus offers that I totally love being that I am an iPhone user is their ‘Learning Centre,’ where you can get their experts to walk you through your new phone. Despite testing out a Windows phone and the Android based Samsung phones, I am so ensnared in the iPhone world that the learning curve is HUGE for me. I now get my MOM to play with the Android platform as she is not “tainted” by the dark side like me.
Do You Like Android
Dark side or not, I do like the Android platform. Features include a large 4 inch screen display, 4 GM memory that is expandable to 32 GB, 5 mega pixel camera with LED flash and access to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Don’t forget over 5000 applications for business fun and entertainment. I love my iPhone, but I do feel like when you buy into the whole “i” world, you are entering into a club that not going to let you go easily and still cause you a lot of hassle which you will never admit because we loves our preciousssssssss. There are plenty of AMAZING smartphones out there and Samsung has a fair share of them. The Galaxy II is a fun phone to use, the fact that you can sync the whole thing through your G-Mail account making setting up your contact lists a breeze. I purposely took this phone out instead of my iPhone to make sure I used it like my everyday phone. Apart from my pre-programming I found the phone to be great. It feels more solid than the III and the old schooler in me prefers that, but still all the fun that the Galaxy line offers feature wise.
Darn you Telus for giving my kids so much ammo as they campaign for their own phones.
