Well if this item doesn’t make my ovaries explode, I don’t know what will.
I was always a big swaddler, whether the babies wanted to or not. Adam was always cocooned and so this HALO Swaddle blanket would have been AWESOME. It can be either a total swaddler or a nice soft sleep sack for those babies that want their little arms free. The one sent to me is a lovely soft cream fleece.
I honestly wish I have discovered these when Tara was small. The one sleep sack we had was rough and I found too warm for her to use. The fleece fabric is so much softer and lighter.
The photos of the little one’s all swaddled in the Swaddle Blanket at the HALO online store are adorable.
Now, I am in Canada, but I KNOW how much we up here LOVE Target and are all excited about Target opening up north of the border, so you should know that the Halo Sleepsack Swaddle Blanket is available there and comes in the fleece or cotton – cream or dot or dog patterns.
The Halo Sleepsack Swaddler is up for a Cribsie Award! Voting runs till March 18th, so if you already love the Halo products, please give them your vote.
They have kindly offered one of these new swaddlers as a giveway for my crunchy readers. These are for newborns and small babies…not big monsters like my toddler…so if you need one or know someone who would LOVE one….do let me know. Halo will kindly ship one to the winner.
Please tell me if you are an expert swaddler or were terrified when the nurses showed you how in the comments below and I will pick a winner.
Deadline will be March 25th.
Also, feel free to visit Halo on Facebook and on Twitter….they love to connect with their customers.

I swaddled my kids the old fashioned way, but I have two nephews becoming first time daddies this year….

I was a little freaked out when I first saw a properly swaddled baby, but he was snug as a bug and slept through the night! Then I was a believer!

Hi there – first of all, just discovered your blog and I’m loving it so far! Added you via the regular channels! I’m another Canadian mama blogger – feel free to check out my blog as well! (also @managertomom on Twitter)
As for the question, to be honest, I never really learned how to swaddle our little one with a regular receiving blanket. We had two Kiddopotamus swaddlemes waiting in the wings so I just banked on these being as easy as they claimed to be. And they were! So yup – babe is 3 1/2 months old now and I still don’t know how to swaddle!
Now I’m using a regular Halo SleepSack (fleece) for her and it’s awesome. Would love to try the combined sleepsack + swaddle!

Hello, well when I watched the nurses swaddle my little guy (my first!), let me tell you I was little concerned. They were so good at it, little fella’s arms never escaped and he slept like an angel. But, despite the fact that I got every nurse who came in to show me how she does it, I still can’t keep those arms in. I still swaddle him because it really helps calm him but he does wake up when the arms sneak out, how do the nurses do it? Anyway long story short I think the baby bag looks like a brilliant invention, no arms flying in that baby’s face!
