Rent a Toy!

October 5, 2010 by Kerry Sauriol 2 Comments

Three kids in a small townhouse leaves the place looking like something from Hoarders.  In fact I am CONVINCED Caitlyn is displaying hoard like tendencies in her total aversion to throwing ANYTHING out or cleaning it up.  Her room is small.  She now shares it with her baby sister.  The mess is only going to get worse.

I will say though that it probably won’t get THAT much worse for a while because being that Tara is our third child….we seriously have not bought her a lot of her OWN toys.   Toy wise..she is deprived.

However….when we had Adam…our FIRST and we lived in an apartment…..OF COURSE we wanted every single cool baby thing we could get our hands on for our precious child!

Every single cool baby toy that they grow out of or get bored of instantly and you have no room to store it and can’t sell it….

That is why THIS idea is great….

Lucky Duck Toy Box Delivery is the brain child of Michelle Shackleford.  Who is awesome by the way!

Lucky Duck carries carefully selected, pre-loved toys for newborns to five year olds. The toys are  thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected  before and after every rental.  They also lead test the toys to ensure they are safe for your children or grandchildren.

Lucky Duck Toy Box Delivery works on a monthly subscription basis with several plans for you to choose from. Each plan requires a deposit equal to one month’s subscription. This deposit will be returned to you upon termination of your subscription if you have no outstanding balance for toys lost, damaged, or soiled beyond reasonable wear and tear. Upon successful subscription to your chosen plan, you will be invoiced for the deposit.

You can then simply browse through their online selection of toys by age..and pick what you want and wait for your delivery!

In this day and age of small living spaces…..I think this is a fabulous idea.

And even with the joy that Tara gets in destroying her siblings stuff, I think we might try it out so she can have some fun toys of her own to play with!
