Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

Still Here, Still Pregnant

July 10, 2009 by Kerry Sauriol 8 Comments

Practically JUMPING up and down to shake her out.

Granted due date isn’t till next week….but am SO done.  Between WEEKS of “false labour” and the panic from the midwives about her being breech, the lack of sleep, heartburn, etc etc….I AM SO DONE.

I do love my Midwives..they are awesome.  They are so good at explaining stuff and making us feel a LOT safer regarding breech births and so on….but we really really want all this happening now.

I do recommend having a midwife or wives to any mom to be.  The type of care is just so different.

However, being stuck in a holding pattern is driving us all batshit crazy.

Even my kids are bored with big cranky pregnant mom.

We have had two ‘versions’ to see if she would shift….nope.  Baby is happy breech and enjoying all the space she has.  I really don’t think she plans on coming out for a while.

Which sucks..because the doctor MOST confident about doing a breech is leaving on the 17th.  My midwives assure me they have spoken to doctors at BC Women’s too…but THIS doc at RCH is the one we know and has been so kind to us.

And not knowing where to race to WHEN labour DOES hit is adding to my anxiety..no matter how much my midwives try to calm me down.

Gah.

So we need MASSIVE amounts of labour vibes right now please.

The anxiety is killing us.

We are all ready.  Baby gear is set up, car seats installed….bags packed.

We just wait and my family watches every groan and moan that I make.

If you can still jump you are in good shape.

Hang in there. It is almost over. 🙂

Sending you all the labour vibes I can muster. Also quick and easy birth vibes.

And I would totally love to see the jumping. 😉

Come on baby! You can do eet! But, if you wait 2 more days, the baby can share a birthday with me…and that’s really important to you, I’m sure. 🙂

I remember I was so desperate at my last doctor’s appointment to hear the words, “Okay, we will go ahead and induce now,” that I cried all the way home when I didn’t hear it. She’s coming soon for you – just hang on.

I know you’ve already had the baby and it sounds like you were able to have a normal delivery. I’m looking forward to hearing your birth story.

My first was breach and my ob didn’t even try to turn her. I know I could have avoided my c-section if i had used midwives. Thankfully I was able to have a vbac with my 2nd and hope to use midwives when I have a third
