No seriously…
I have been thinking about this.
I have always been a bit flakey. My LONG list of jobs that I lost over the years is proof of that.
Focus is not one of my strong points. Never has been.
However..that is not TOTALLY true. If I am doing something that I love….then I can focus and organize BIG time.
I love planning parties. I LOVED planning my wedding.
I get good when I get excited about things…HOWEVER the jobs I excelled at the best were things that needed a lot of data entry and not a lot of thinking on my feet.
So what is the deal with that?
But that was all before I had kids.
Now I seem to suck at pretty much ANY job I take on. From trying to help organize my husbands stuff, to my own piles of stuff, to my finances (which sucked before too!), and especially to jobs..jobs that are supposed to help me earn money to help pay credit cards etc.
Sigh..and we won’t talk about my housekeeping skilz
Now granted…I wasn’t pregnant when I took on this latest job…
And so that is the excuse I am sticking to…and yes, it is a real excuse…on top of the roller coaster of either feeling great or feeling realy yucky, there is the roller coaster of fear, anxiety and joy that we are riding here at the house of crunch too.
The needs of my poor boss are not on top of the list.
And that is terrible..because work is work…you have to pay attention to it in order to get paid. In order to make a living.
This is the thing my brain seems to have an issue with.
Basically, my responsibilty functions are about as well honed as my four year olds….NOT GOOD.
And pouting and sulking will not pay a credit card off will it?
Nooooooo….
I am almost 40, attempting to raise two kids and seriously, I SUCK at the grown up thing.

I don’t know what to say that is any help at all. Sorry. Should I get all tough-love and say, “Suck it up?” No, I’m not that type of person.

Ok the hormone thing…it runs havoc with our bodies….and more so when we are preggo…..I use to call it my preggo brain….hence I had to make lists. If staying on task is your issue well do it in parcels…work is work and you kinda of have to stay on task with that…but again lists help at work….at home…try and incorporate some fun stuff into your daily grind of being mom and wife….make a game out of the laundry….have your kids help by asking them to find a many matched pairs of socks they can….see who can fold the most number of piles….and who can take their own clothes to their rooms in a certain period of time….I don’t know…just finding the balance…it’s not easy as you know…don’t despare things will all come into place…..
cheers!!!

My brain must have been abducted with yours. And I certainly don’t have pregnancy or more than just one kid to blame! I feel like a new breed of human-sloth hybrid…now if only I could get someone to pay me for my discovery.
Hang in there. Winter (of any kind) doesn’t last forever!
