to delay putting away the laundry.
– As much as I am sad about poor old Crystal, I am enjoying having space in our bedroom and it not smelling like cat pee.
– Hoping that it means LESS laundry.
– Wondering when my kids will figure out that I don’t wanna ‘WATCH THIS’ when it pertains to a video game.
– Thinks that parents who BOTH go out trick or treating and leave NO ONE at home to hand out candy are cheap fuckers and don’t bother coming to hang out at our cool house with all OUR candy.
– That if your kids are so small that they are in strollers..the candy is for you…so why bother? When my kids were wee..sure we dressed them up, but we we took em to their grandparents and to a couple of actual friends houses…not random strangers for candy.
– That if you have the balls to ask the neighbours for money for fireworks, you better actually DO something with that money or return it.
– And while I will freely admit to hiding at White Spot before we had kids on Halloween, there were so many houses in the dark in our neighbourhood and when you KNOW so many are family homes with kids….I know candy can get expensive, but there are other things you can do …stickers are cheap?? Heck the freaky crack addict was handing out juice boxes which I thought was fine.
– Am bummed that my photos for Halloween sucked and I don’t have a good one of the kids….or me.
– Am happy we have such great and crazy funny friends
– Am not thinking much about the eye rolling nurse/receptionist at VGH who told us she didn’t want to be repeating herself to everyone when we asked about what had happened to our Grandmother.
– Am not thinking much about a care home trying to get the upper hand by requesting a meeting with family AFTER they royally screwed up and haven’t apologized.
– Wishes my daughters preschool could pick ONE date a month to withdraw their funds.
– Am going to go mad listening to my children bicker over Batman Lego…I LOVE that he plays with her..but sheesh.
– Found it interesting to hear that Gregor Robertson had cancelled a radio show this am after his story about owing a big fat Sky Train fine came out. Not impressed that he seems to be so good at ignoring people. I have emailed him and the Vision crew twice and had no reply….they are going to lose my vote for sure.
– That the ashes of said dead kitty are ready already blows me away. And I am glad I have a couple of photos of her and sad that my boy feels so depressed about it..but it seems to come and go.
Yeah..it is Monday and it is raining.
I sort of took today of, apart from the laundry, and some emails….it has been insane around here for the last few days.
I am sure it will get crazy again.

Holy cats woman. When you purge you PURGE. I like the way you think.
And the babies who trick or treat? Pisses me off everytime. Go buy your own damned candy you cheap parents and come back when your kid can actually consume it.

We both went out with our kids because they only see their dad on weekends and it was more about spending time together…having said that – is there a good use for all these potato chips because my kids do not need this stuff! Do people donate candy?

Hi Kerry,
I really enjoy your blog. I watched an author named Christopher Flett on the Today Show, he wrote a book called “What Men Don’t Tell Women About Business” and it shares secrets for women working in business. I thought you might enjoy hearing about him. There could be some great content in their for future posts.
Keep up the great work.
Sincerely,
Bihter

Hi Kerry,
The author, Christopher Flett, was featured in the NY Times regarding women keeping their careers on track while having their family. His book, “What Men Don’t Tell Women About Business” was sold out at the Barnes and Noble I went to so I ordered it at Amazon. I read a lot of blogs and he seems to be popular.
I wish someone would interview him about how to stay OFF the mommy track. Why don’t you interview him and post it on your blog? I saw that he was a guest commentator on “the Juggle” (Wall Street Journal). His email listed there was chris@ghostceo.com I checked out his website and it looks pretty good.
Anyway, keep up the great topics.
Best,
Bihter.
