Crunchy Carpets

Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

Because I had SOOO much to do today…

…Nana and I took the kids to the zoo

We took the kids to the Greater Vancouver Zoo. They have not had a lot of good press between Eagles being eaten and neglected Hippos…..they don’t have a good track record.

So while I have been putting of going…the kids LOVED it.

Even in the heat that Great Vancouver experienced today…they loved it.

The Raptor show was awesome…to get THAT close to Falcons and Owls was a treat.

So now I am a sweaty tired person who has to think about WordPress speeches and packing and organizing for BlogHer AND darling husband decided that the car needed to get services NOW, so I am cramming that in too.

On the day I am driving to Langley.

I don’t quite know what is going on with Crunchy Husband and I …I think I am not doing or saying SOMETHING regarding going on this trip or his work or something….there is a ‘tude of me not doing enough..and I don’t really like it..but don’t feel like addressing it either..not when I work hard for this family…..If he feels unappreciated, then I am truly sorry…but not sure how to get that over to him…

Anyway…

The kids had fun so the heat and expense was worth it.

Meh, eff him in the A, you know? I think they (men) get uptight when they realize they are going to be On Their Own for a few days; he probably doesn’t even realize he’s giving off that vibe (or if he does, he likely couldn’t verbalize it as trip anxiety). I liken it to how they act when ”we” get sick and it’s all, ”OH NOEZ – THIS CAN’T BE!!” – know what I mean?

Enjoy yourself – it will all work itself out
