We are going to Disneyland for 6 days. Just 6 days.
We don’t leave till April 4th.
It has been like planning for a world tour or something.
I have been ‘pre-packing’ for myself and the kids. I had Caity try on all her stuff from last summer…she has grown out of a lot of it.
I just wanted ‘new’ stuff.
Adam is next on my list.
I have lists. Well..I have lists about the lists to make.
And here is something I have discovered.
Remember in the days before ‘digital,’ you just threw some rolls of film in your carry on with your camera knowing you could always buy more film at your destination.
Now. Now I am trying to remember which cords are for what thing and to remember to bring the charging thingies, memory card thingies and lord knows what else I will need for our new fangled cameras.
We probably need to bring the laptop…where are all the cords for that!?
I will need to remember to probably unplug things while we are gone.
Stop the paper.
Make sure we actually DO have cat care.
Make cat care instructions
Emergency numbers.
Tell the right people that we are leaving…or not.
We don’t even have a big enough suitcase for our little family. My baggage was bought pre kids.
What to pack. Medication? For all of us? Cos yeah..we will be in the middle of nowhere!
I tend to take a perverse joy in all my planning….mainly because it works. CH hates that..but he also loves it because he knows at least ONE of us has it covered.
But seriously..the trip is 3 weeks away.
Way to go for planning ahead for your vacation! To this day, I still wait until the day – sometimes even 2 days – before leaving on vacation before I even start thinking about getting the suitcases out of the basement.
Fun!!! I love Disney vacations!! I love planning for them!!!!
What fun!!
I TOTALLY understand – I actually have a packing checklist. I even have a diaper bag checklist.
I get so get it. Good luck –
Don’t forget the cords to the portable DVD player and some DVDs for the ride…..
I can’t keep up with all those cords. It’s insane.
Have a super time at Disney!
Let me know if you need any DLand tips!
We went last year (we also live about 90 minutes from it) and I can tell you what I know…

I don’t know if you travel a lot with your kids but I do quiet often. You gotta do what’s comfortable for you, but I’ve learned from doing it over and over again, we don’t use half what I think we need to pack. I always take enough diapers/wipes for what time we’ll be on the road, and snacks and stuff. Two pj’s per kid, that way I can wash and dry if something happens to one set, enought clothes for three days, and one out of season outfit just in case it does something unpredictable. Thanks to walmart, nothing’s really out of reach. Now, I wouldn’t know what to pack if I was going over seas. Scary lol.
I’m a list girl, too. My husband chastises me for it sometimes. Like, why the need to plan ahead? Stop stressing, just enjoy. Riiiiight. I wonder how stressfree he’d be chafing in FL cause I didn’t have a list to remember his underwear? lol
lol Crunchy!
i took 2 memory cards for our camera-i used one full one(just under 800 pictures) Disney does sell them as well(and the prices weren’t that horrible)
there is a Target just down the street from the park(excellent for us since we totally forgot hats and sunglasses lol!)
i wouldn’t take your laptop or all the cables for the camera-too much risk losing any of it
