2016 Halloween Ghost Train Goes ‘Día de los Muertos’

October 12, 2016 by Kerry Sauriol Leave a Comment

Dancing CockroachesThe Stanley Park Halloween Ghost Train has brushed up on its Spanish this year for a ‘Day of the Dead’ theme.

Prepare to be thrilled and chilled by La Llorona, La Catrina and other mischievous souls! Gather with friends and family to honour the returning spirits of our loved ones as we explore this delightful festival of life.  Ride the train through the tunnel of flames with the Aztec Lord and Lady of Death, and join us in a gorgeous graveyard where friendly souls return to dance.

Nothing TOO spooky.  All perfectly fine for the wee one’s, but if you are worried there is a matinee train ride for families, school groups, and groups with children.  Ticket sales for the matinee train end at 5:00pm.

The atmosphere is festive with the sounds of the mariachi band and let the little one’s get their faces painted or try some themed crafts while you enjoy a hot chocolate or apple cider.

The Ghost Train is open now until October 31st.

Live theatrical performance train runs:

  • Monday to Thursday, 5:30pm to 9:30pm
  • Friday to Sunday, 5:30pm to 10:00pm

You can read about the ticket information here.
