I don’t think there could be a more perfect day than today was to visit the Vancouver Aquarium. Stanley Park was glorious – sparkling in the sunshine and frost.
The snowshiney mountains put us in the perfect Christmasy mood as we headed down to check out the Vancouver Aquariums holiday spirit. The entire aquarium is bedecked in fishy holiday magic and the Electric Eels are hard at work keeping the Christmas tree lights lit!
We also enjoyed (again) their 4D version of The Polar Express….lovely movie and certainly worthy of becoming a Vancouver Christmas tradition.
The highlight of the holidays at the Vancouver Aquarium is their own Scuba Claus who this year is also hanging with the Belugas, since their chilly waters remind him of his North Pole home. The Belugas also seem to enjoy the entertainment.

There are loads of Christmas themed events all day long at the Aquarium…..lots to learn about energy saving, keeping our oceans clean and how to make the world a better place for us and all the marine life too.
