Hallmark Makes Christmas Memorable

December 10, 2014 by Kerry Sauriol 12 Comments

Our house  is full of Christmas cheer thanks to Hallmark Canada and their #PressPause campaign.    It is certainly not just the place for seasonal cards…though they have those a plenty and cute one’s for Christmas too.

They came to our rescue with the amazing Kitchen selection they have right now…check it out at Northpole1820.com.  We LOVED their roley cookie cutter and sprinkle bell.  Baking is not my forte and having any help to make my cookies look good is awesome.   You can also look great with their fun holiday apron too.

I felt like a pro and proud enough to share the cookies with our neighbours for our first ever annual Tenants Christmas party.   The cookie cutter was so fun for the kids to cut out their shortbread.  This bean bag game was also a huge hit at the party.  Caity was in charge of arts, crafts and entertaining all the kids and this sure helped keep the kids from getting into too much trouble.

When it comes to decor, we LOVE this little tree.

Baking with the family is a big part of Christmas for many of us.   Sugar cookies and decorating them is all part of the holiday fun for kids and adults alike.   I would love to share the fun with you.   Comment below about the baking YOU like to do with your kids before December 15th and you can win the Sprinkle Bell and the Cookie Cutter.  This is for Canadian readers only though.

My kids have a great affinity for making”dough”. They love to make bagels and pretzels. Sometimes they’re a bit mishapen, but we have fun.

We like making gingerbread cookies together. It’s always a lot more work than I think at first because the kids like to mash their hands into the dough and whatnot, but always good for a laugh too

We make sugar cookies and gingerbread cookies. The boys LOVE to decorate some of them. I create a little decorating station for them at the table where they can decorate their own cookies and they absolutely love it 🙂

We do lots of baking together. Everyone has a favourite that we make every year and then we always try one or two new recipes as well. The bulk of it goes to neighbours, friends and relatives. It wouldn’t be Christmas without it.

I try to score as much baking from my family without making it. I will make chow mein clusters and twisted shortbread candy canes.
