It has become a rule for myself that pretty much as soon as spring is announced in Vancouver that the flip flops come out rain or shine. I live in this pair from Merrell at home and keep all the pretty one’s for going out in public.
However, I grew up having ‘issues’ with my feet. I always had to shop around for pricier shoes to deal with my rather flat footedness and broad feet. So for a long time, finding summer shoes that did not hurt my feet was an issue.
It is great then to see companies like Vionic making not only healthy shoes for your feet but PRETTY too and I was very happy to receive a pair of their Bella Flip Flops to try out.
Vionic shoes are built with their ‘Orthaheel Technology’ that is an innovative podiatrist-designed and provides superior orthotic support, relief and stability which helps realign the feet back to their natural position. Research supports Orthaheel Technology’s success in reducing over-pronation, which can help relieve associated common aches and pains, such as heel pain (plantar fasciitis), knee pain and lower back pain. You may have seen their various orthotic brands under different names but now Vionic Group’s three consumer brands, Dr. Andrew Weil Integrative Footwear, Orthaheel and Vionic, merged into the single, stylish brand that marries technology & performance with fashion.
I can’t wear TOO flat shoes as they really start to hurt my feet. These have a nice lightweight fit that cushions my feet which is a surprise on such a tiny simple little shoe. These one’s are great to slip on with a summer skirt and come in a few pretty colours. The prices are not crazy either for a shoe with a bit more comfort built into it.
