So I have been moaning a bit here and there about losing my blogging mojo and just not feeling the ‘flow’ when it comes to my blog writing and what I represent to you the few readers who show up here from time to time. Writing about products and brands is FAR easier than delving deep into my parental soul. I also, to be honest, hesitate to share too much about my kids lives, now that they are fully operational creatures with opinions and the ability to read.
But I have to share this…
Running errands with our family frankly SUCKS. But today they did pretty good. We had to run downtown and made an afternoon of exploring Gastown before fitting in some more less fun things on our to-do list. We made our day worse by not letting our little iPad addict take it with her. Tara had to survive with a stuffy instead.
My daily urge, nay, need for some PEACE on a daily basis has probably left Tara entertaining herself a bit too much on the iPad. She is a dab hand at navigating Netflix and YouTube. She has all her favorite channels. Currently it is this one. Yes the cat swears, but get real, she hears worse from me so judgers can suckit. It is funny.
By the time we got home today everyone was starting to fade and especially Tara. She had been a MONSTROUS pain at the mall and nothing we did was going to keep her from escalating into a massive hissy fit..yes that was ME with the kid on the floor chucking her boots around.
Yet we stuck our guns….instead of taking the easy way out and handing her precious iPad when we got home we said nope…attitude stinks so no electronics for you. This pushes the freak out even further up the ‘preschooler Richter scale.’ But it was hard to focus because I was trying to blow dry a Playstation controller that apparently had hot chocolate spilled on it at some point in the day while were out.
What sticks with me is Tara laying on her floor shrieking “I NEED THE KITTIES! I NEEEEEEED THE KITTIES.’
Rehab can be a bitch.
