Benadryl knows me too well. I received this package of ‘weekend savers’ just before the long weekend and chuckled because I have almost the exact thing packed in the day bag that was used for every summer trip we took. Add the Epi-pen and it would have been identical.
Between my own weird allergies, worrying about being mosquito dinner and the kids spills or injuries, you do need to be prepared at home and away and this little package covers it with some great brand choices too.
A survey was done by Angus Reid about summer preparedness be it for hosting parties at home or heading to picnics and 68% of British Columbian women always had sunscreen and 57% had bug repellent. Not so many people have anti-itch for said bug bites and while keeping the bugs away is important, being able to treat you, your kids or your guests is crucial.
We are deciding on either a family movie or dinner and a sunset walk on the beach tonight….it is the beach, that bag will be filled with THIS and more stuff JUST IN CASE.
What are your essentials when it comes to protecting your loved one’s?
My bag usually contains:
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- Benadryl for adults
- Benadryl for kids
- Polysporin
- Juice boxes
- Wet Wipes
- Bandages
- Change of clothes for the youngest
- Epi-pen for me
What about you?
I’m a little embarrassed to say I don’t even have a full kit. I always have sunscreen and water but will definitely have to make a full one. Thanks for the list.
