Their are More Than Just Great Shows at the Children’s Festival

Activities CollageAfter enjoying some of the MANY amazing performances at the Vancouver International Children’s Festival last year Tara, Caitlyn and I had such blast at the Children’s Festival Fun Zone.   There was much face painting, crafts, painting, and much much more going on that the girls couldn’t decide what to do next.

I am sure the events THIS year will be just as much fun for the kids and parents.  Which is why I am SO happy to share a giveaway for a Family Four Pack of Wristbands for the Activity Zones valued at $32.

This year’s Activity Zones include: Face Painting ,Making Music with Found Objects, African Dance & Music, Shadow Puppetry,  Circus Skills, Bicycle Spin-Art, A Kaleidoscopic Outdoor Weaving Experience, Origami, Magical Mystery Maze, Sock Puppets and Twist & Toddle!

The wristbands will allow entry to all the activities for you and your family!

Deadline for the contest will May 19th.     The Festival is running from May 27th to June 2nd!!!  The lucky winner can pick up their bands at the Festival Box Office on the day they choose to enjoy the activities.

Comment below about what YOU love about the Children’s Festival and why it is so important to Vancouver and I will draw a name randomly.

I love that the festival is all about the kids and imagination, with no (or limited) marketing, no big businesses screaming in their faces….,just pure creativity and fun. I also love that kids can see live performers, with content geared especially to them. It’s a great opportunity to introduce children to the magic of the arts. Fun for the adults too!

Yeah I went last year after not attending for a while and I really enjoyed the non commercial feel of it…it was about the kids having fun and learning creativity and seeing fun shows…

I love that it brings such a variety of arts together in one place for children to experience. There is really nothing else comparable! I think it’s an important event to attract families to come into Vancouver and support the local economy. Wish me luck; we’d love to take part this year!

I have so interested in attending one for sure. Couldn’t do it last year with the baby, but hopefully this year.

The set up at Granville Island makes it fairly easy to navigate…..baby friendly.

I love that it’s a festival all about kids, with everything set up just for them! It’s important to the kids of Vancouver to have a weekend just for them!

The thing that I love most about the festival is watching my children explore such a wide variety of activities. It’s important as it brings families together for a fun day out.

I love all the great activities and entertainment for the kids. It’s so important to expose our kids to all these different types of entertainment to show them how diverse Vancouver is.
