ending with mine.
Today is my birthday, but my “special” day was all over the weekend thanks to a caring and loving family.
Nana babysat while Patrick took me out for a lovely dinner at the Provence Marinaside. We sat outside and enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the Yaletown seawall. We ate yummy seafood and I drank a $16 glass of Malbec. Patrick then made me feel like one of those Real Housewives, by sliding mysterious boxes across the table at me.
Aren’t they purdy? He has good taste in sparkly stuff that is for sure
Yesterday mom and I snuck out to De Dutch for a grown up breakfast sans kids, so yet another birthday treat for me and then today was the day of picking up that sweet Ford Explorer that they are letting me test out for the week!
Notice the small boy peering out of the sunroof ready for the zombie apocalypse
Apart from that the children has lovely homemade cards and very thoughtful gifts for me. Adam had found a plastic tortoiseshell necklace and Caity found me a lovely little bone china pill case that is perfect for earrings. My mom also had cake and goodies for me!!

I have no real feelings good or bad about turning 42. I am feeling good about myself and life…..sure it is a bit of a slog someday’s but that is what life is all about. Maybe becoming 42 makes a person more philosophical and that is why I am okay. Or it just happened to land when I was in a good mood. But it is what it is. As the song says….Life’s what you make it.
