Have Your Kids Forgotten Everything They Learned In School?

July 28, 2011 by Kerry Sauriol Leave a Comment

This is something interesting that got my attention. Classroom Ready and Classroom Interactive is one of the main current events education systems that Canadian teachers have been using in the classroom for ages.   I am sure your kids backpacks have been stuffed with some of the printable sheets on various subjects.  Especially if they are in grades 3 to 1o, which Classroom Ready covers.

What I didn’t know and now think is a great idea, is that they have online programs available online for parents and kids to use at home.  Their free trial is running now until the end of August.   What perfect timing for getting kids back in the groove for school.    The modules are quite fun, with a slide show, quiz and games and so forth on various current topics and events including Cirque du Soleil, Recycling, Michael J. Fox and The World’s Tallest Building.

I was foolish and set this up on my Chrome browser, which is isn’t designed for….so do make sure you try it on IE or Firefox.  We are definitely going to be adding this to the few ‘educational’ sites that my kids already use and like. I think this will be a good way for them to remember HOW to think for school, without making the rest of the summer a total drag.   And for any parents worrying about their children’s last report card, this online system is a nice and affordable way to boost their learning load.

Check it out.  I would love to hear what other parents think, especially those with kids a bit older than mine.
