I have to admit, I have been a tad surprised at my kids schools lack of allergy concerns. Especially when reading other mom’s blogs and the twitter stream about keeping allergic kids safe at school.
I don’t think ONE class party notice has EVER mentioned allergy care.
Despite that I do tend to worry about what snacks to contribute and if I am not doing something like fruit or veggies or BAKING – I tend to search for peanut free labels on the ready made foods at the local grocery store.
So indeed, I said yes to receiving some of the cute Bear Paw Crackers from DARE to check out.
Dare was one of Canada’s first peanut free food manufacturers – changing their policies and standards in 2004. They stand behind their peanut free icon on their packages…it is more than just marketing.
My kids already love the original Bear Paws….they are a staple snack for school here. And while my son is not a cracker fan…these have been a HUGE hit with the girls. Especially the cheese flavored ones. They were gone in one afternoon….I kid you not.
The rest have been packed in snack sizes for lunches and all gone down very well.
According to DARE, the crackers have NO artificial flavors, no trans fats and are low in saturated fat…so for a processed food…not too shabby.
