I seriously love that the crew behind Theatre Under The Stars have been faithfully producing fun family friendly shows down at Stanley Park for like FOREVER.
It is a gorgeous location and they always put on great shows filled with enthusiastic casts of all ages….
One of the shows on right now is Andrew Lloyd Webbers classic Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat.
“Although Joseph has been done numerous times, this will truly be a unique adaptation,” says James Cronk, producer of Theatre Under the Stars. “We have a few surprises up our sleeve and are excited to offer people the opportunity to see Joseph like never before. It’s about fun, singing and laughter, and it’s a show that will be enjoyed by everyone in the family, which is exactly what Theatre Under the Stars is all about.”
The intention is to make it family friendly and family fun!
ONE of the big surprises is that Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be inviting boys and girls to participate on stage in the role of Benjamin, the youngest of Joseph’s 12 brothers. They will have their special STAR dressing room and basket of goodies waiting for them as they prepare for their DEBUT TUTS role!
Which is why I am happy to announce that I have FOUR tickets to Joseph to giveaway!
Leave a comment about your memories or thoughts about TUTS and the rest of the thriving theatre community in Vancouver and you will entered in a draw for you and THREE of your FAMILY and or Friends to attend a night of Joseph at TUTS in Stanley Park. The show runs alternating nights with their other production Singin in the Rain until August 21.
I will do a speedy draw come August 1st to give you lots of nights to choose from to see the show.

I love TUTS! We try to catch at least one show every year. Last year we were watching Thoroughly Modern Millie when the crazy lightning storm struck! We tried to tough it out but I couldn’t last through the torrential rain. I still wonder how the rest of the show turned out…

I love outdoor theatre: Bard on the Beach, TUTS, you name it. I wish we had more of it here.
I like the big productions too – I just wish they were more affordable.

Joseph was the first musical I ever saw…with my grandparents, and I got all dressed up and did my hair in rags, haha!
TUTS is a great event…those mosquito bites are part of its charm 🙂

I love TUTS…. it’s one of my favourite Summer activities in Vancouver and I go every year. I saw Singing in the Rain last weekend so I’d love to win tickets to see Joseph, one of my all-time favourite musicals!

I have never seen TUTS but have heard so many amazing things about the shows and I would love to check it out (especially ‘Joseph’ because way back when I was in elementary school, we put that play on and I had a role in it!) It’s wonderful to have shows such as TUTS thriving in the community!
