Tara…thank you for just being

So this time last year…this was me.

During a July that was getting WAAAY hotter than this one.     She was still breech.  We still wondered what the heck she would do and what the heck I should to do get her out of that obviously warm and comfortable place.

Then at 12 am on July 14th, her noted due date…..she decided she had had enough….and we went on to scenes like this….

And then this..

and bizarrely this…

To this..one year later

and this…..which makes all the no sleep worth it

While Adam and Caity are close…the big age gap between Adam and Tara means years of hero worship are in their future.  She adores him.  And he her.

We laugh about how Tara is the luckiest baby in the world due to all the attention she gets.  We all clamor to lavish our affection up on her.

We don’t get mad at her.  Even with a year of no sleep KILLING US….she is to sweet and warm and happy for us to ever feel anything but some smoldering resentment.

The no sleep thing has taken its toll on the family….it has been a rough year for us.  But the love and happiness sure has helped us all get through it.   Her joy is the one thing that keeps the rest of us strong.  Her love makes us all feel that we will survive it all….no matter what.

We all just want to spoil her, hold her, make her laugh….enjoy all her innocence and sweetness.

She fills my heart to bursting.

We all as a family feel her joy of living and life and we are blessed to be in such a pure and happy presence.

Basically..she makes us laugh.

So here you are Tara…..your lack of sleep has caused much strife around here…but really, we forgive you. You are still our gift and we are thankful.
