Crunchy Carpets

Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

Tests of our Dignity

March 6, 2009 by Kerry Sauriol 3 Comments

Picture this little scene.

A woman, clutching in one hand, the leash to her excitable BIG dog.  In the other, she is trying to hold up her rather saggy and too stretchy maternity pants.

She does this WHILE screeching for her daughter to ‘COME HERE RIGHT NOW.’

She is screeching this because daugher has issues with listening and doing as she is told and she pushed it just one step too far this time.

The daughter runs away and the 5 month pregnant woman and dog are trying to coral her back towards the house while another mother watches.  Another mother that RUSHED out to ‘hang’ with us just because she spotted me and said daughter giving the dog a quick run outside due to the lovely weather.

Then mother had to make comments about exciteable dog and her child to the point that I had to give up and put dog on leash.

Yep.

Then…when daughter is caught and hand is firmly in grasp of hand that was formerly holding up saggy pants, they march loudly of home with other mother still watching.

Watching my pants slide down as am pulled one way by dog and other way by shrieking daughter.

Really, it doesn’t get better than that.
