To Sleep, Perchance to Dream..

January 25, 2009 by Kerry Sauriol 2 Comments

I am a big whiner when it comes to sleep…

My husband boggles at my bitching, being that I tend to go to bed very early – I do read for a bit – but yes, go to sleep waaaay before he ever does…..He functions on very little rest……compared to me….lollygagging around huffing and bitching about being tired blah blah blah.

And yet, I still bitch.

I am a very light sleeper.  It doesn’t take much to wake me up.

So, snorfling dogs, cats, kids and husbands tend to do a number on me.

Add to that I find our pricey bed to be extremely uncomfortable…more so when preggers.

Inbetween the parade of dogs, husbands and kids who are trying to get into said uncomfortable bed AFTER I have somewhat settled in to it, I am now baraged with weird ass dreams.

These dreams are usually very vivid and my subconcious feels I must wake up after each dream so I can…what? Analyze it in more seriousness…I don’t know….it is just pissing me off.

Last nights viewing started with me taking a train home from London..ENGLAND, to do some banking.

I bumped into some old friends on the way..then I seemed to run into imaginary old friends who were criminals which I took up with in some big scam in which I walked away with this really big fancy ring.

Hmmmm

I wish there was sleeping pills for pregnant women.

I hear ya! I always need more sleep than I get and the hubby always seems to do fine on less and sometimes he acts as though there’s something fundamentally wrong with me and it ticks me off when I know plenty of people need lots of rest or have troubles falling asleep. And being preggo only makes it worse! Hang in there mama!

Yeah, Darren’s like that too – I am the early bird, he is the nighthawk, but he’s getting better about it (getting up at 9 on weekends instead of the crack of noon :)). I am useless without at least 7 hours and since being pregnant, I need at least 8, if not 10.

And vivid dreams – I can relate. Although most of mine have been Adults only. 🙂
