Canada has been hit with snow and freezing temperatures from coast to coast….Vancouver is in shock..we have OVER a foot of snow on the ground.
Awesome if you don’t have to go anywhere.
Pat’s commute took rather longer for him.
Getting to Safeway for the great Turkey shop yesterday was interesting…God Bless Traction Control!
The only thing about Snow Days is…..even the things I CAN do at home…that I SHOULD be doing at home..become either hard or just put on the back burner.
Instead, much time is spent bundling up kids, stripping down kids, and frolicking in the snow.
Then there the is the copious hot chocolates that must be made and warm baths to run.
In between that…mom must lay on couch under a blanket.
Work..what work??
Oh yeah…the BATHROOM needs cleaned….right.
Oh and yeah..when is Christmas Eve?? Have I wrapped anything????
NOOOOOOOOO
It is too darn pretty outside!!!
I also love snow days because you don’t have to worry about your hair or looking like a total dork…I don’t anyway.
But I have to get my head screwed on right….
We DO have stuff to deal with, insurance stuff needs read, accountants need hunted down, I have work to clear up for the holidays…
But…I tell you, getting on this computer has felt like a bit of a chore…
I am vacationing with my vacationing kids!
Today we played in the snow, had lunch, then was requested for some cartoon and snuggle time by my son.
Then it was time to make dinner and the kids did crafts.
That was pretty much it.
Ouch.
Oh well.

I LOVE days like those! I really really miss being home with the kids….this work gig is impeding on my snow day frolicking on the sled hills this year. I just hope it sticks around next week so I will have a great reason too to avoid the necessary, but mundane chores of the household while I’m on vacation!
Merry Christmas Kerry, Pat, Adam & Caity!

Bathrooms always need to be cleaned, I’ve realized. I’d be out in the snow, too. And napping. A lot.
