Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

My Daughter Knows How to Cure Her Blahs

October 22, 2008 by Kerry Sauriol 2 Comments

She has the sniffles.

Fever, the works.   She went up and put on shiny pink disco pants, a tutu, a pink party dress AND a cowboy hat on.

Then she fell asleep in this outfit on the couch for about two hours.

When she awoke, she was raring to go.

I will try this cure the next time I feel a sniffle coming on.

Spent the morning cleaning out the dark and dusty corners of the ‘master’ bedroom.  Used our knew Shark mini vac thingie to get into the corners.  That thing RULES.

Have bag of clothing AND toys to donate now.  Will probably drop them off with the Developmental Disability’s Association…they are the organization that runs my kids preschool.

Darling husband STARTED this cleaning off..HE actualy started cleaning out HIS clothes..I had to keep the momentum going.

I am also selling Callies crate.  She never sleeps in it anyway.  Anyone need a dog crate?

I am UNBELIEVABLY tired.  Hence this really boring post.

I did meet with Adam’s teacher.  I decided to be diplomatic and totally non confrontational.

The poor principal was ready for anything.

But what I did was just ask HER how SHE thought Adam was doing.  I told her about our concerns and things we had heard and worried about in Kindergarten….but also said that we were happy with his time with the other teachers in the Learning Centre.

I basically told them that I would see how he was doing and keep on his homework.

The teacher said she thought he had been very happy in class.  She was touched by his care and empathy with the special needs kids in the class.  The Resource teacher HAD noticed how he carried things on his shoulders and that he had told her about Scott and how he was so sad that he never got to see him or say good bye.

Sigh.

Anyway.  We will see.

I keep hoping that our dream and affordable home will show up soon and we will be able to move anyway..solving all THAT worry AND a change of scenery etc.

Buts moneys must be made instead of spent for this to happen.  We are really good at spending money in this house.

She sounds like the smartest girl I know! : )

I’ll have to have these things on hand for the long winter ahead when I get the sniffles.
