Crunchy Carpets

Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

Conversations with my Son…

June 25, 2008 by Kerry Sauriol 9 Comments

This morning…

Adam: ‘ Mom, girls look better than boys.”

Me: ‘how so?”

A: ” Well girls just go straight down, but boys have sticking out bumpy bits.”

“Girls look better.”

Yesterday in bath..

A: “MOM! I can make them go up and down”

A clenches and unclenches watching tiny scrote go up and down.

Me: “Fascinating. Can dad do that?”

A: “Oh and mom, sometimes my penis sticks STRAIGHT OUT! It even does this and this!”

A then proceeds to PULL penis out as far as he can to demonstrate the precise angles and lengths he has discovered his penis is capable of.

Crunchy Husband is vaguely horrified by now while I am doubled over laughing.

We go from this to later in the car this morning and having him explain how our house squeaks and groans at night because it is heating and cooling in the day and night…

From Penis tricks to Science.

my son is similarly fascinated by the extreme things his penis can do. I find it all very disturbing. The twisting, stretching and pulling all look so painful, I have to walk away.

My son used to do the same painful looking twisting and pulling your boy. I would just cringe because it seems like that should hurt. Oh, the wonder of boys.

I discovered the wonders of my downstair’s friend (grandma’s term) while at a Molly Ringwald movie when I was eight or nine. Let’s just say I liked Molly…

So there’s even MORE penis fun ahead, eh? Thanks for the info. I do think he’ll like the bumpy, sticking out parts of girls as he (and they) get older!

It is amazing what comes out of their mouthes isn’t it? Yesterday while my 3 year old son was on the toilet my Dh asked what made Daddy happy. (WE are in the midst of a very frustrating toilet training experience.) Aidan replied “touching my penis?” I just about died laughing and trying not to let Aidan see or hear me so that he didn’t repeat it in public. It is definitely one of those things you never think your child will say.

BTW the answer he was looking for was Aidan using the toilet.
