The Heat Has Broken

I am such a loser…I seriously cannot function in high temps.

Today is Mid to high 20’s….with a breeze. MUCH better.

We also have extra fans.  Hopefully everyone will sleep tonight.  Though Caity has a cold and that is making her miserable.

So today went a LOT better.  Though I am really not cut out for this child care thing…….I just don’t have it in me to entertain someone else’s kids all day.

And this was only the first week.   Two Hours Left.  Granted it HAS been really hot and granted I AM knocked up…I am not my usual fun self (snort).

Two are asleep, Adam is with his dad and one is watching Fosters AGAIN.

We spent about two hours at the park though which was fun.  Yelled at the DayCamp leaders for letting their   12 year old charges run all over a park made for pre schoolers…..gotta watch out for those irate parents.

Hopefully I can get back to my postings…I am behind on a couple of my sites.   I can’t think when it is hot.

This anti heat thing puts a serious cramp in travel plans……I guess I should just stick to Scotland!  No deserts or tropics for me.

For someone very early in the pregnancy department, I am feeling reeeeeeeeeeeally pregnant.  I wish I didn’t have to wait till August 15th to meet with my Ob/Gyn.   I am sooooo curious about this little thing.  And worried.

I was talking Lamotragine and the drug is so new that they don’t have much to say about pregnancy and it’s effects.  The lab rats did ok apparently.   And with testing positive on that triple market thing with Caity…..well, I am jumpy about all that stuff and am now dreading all the tests.

I am also an angry and overheated person.  I found out that they are NOT fixing my yard the way they promised.

I am now filling out forms for all the co-ops around here, because I have had it.  We need out.

Maybe we will get lucky and a vacancy will show up quickly.  I do like this area and if we had the space, a co-op would be  great.

Fingers crossed….been trying to fill out all the forms.

Soooooo…..

Lessons from Daycare of two extra kids.

1) you can’t please em all

2) they are so effing competitive

3) four kids ignoring you is just as annoying as one

4) four picky eaters is REALLY annoying

5) the tattle telling is insane….who do you believe?

6) Fart is the universal joke to all children

7) they will ALWAYS spill something

8) they will always blame someone else

9) at least two will have colds

10) nobody stays clean

And I have learned that I am STILL shy.

I was asked by the mom if I have Tourettes.   This crushed me.

I have had this eye fluttering thing since I was a kid.  Mom thinks it was from ‘damage’ during my birth.   It is like a nervous habit or maybe it IS tourettes.   I look away and up and my eyes flutter…. I don’t even notice it.  But it happens when I am stressed or  tired.   I stress when meeting new people and so this is when it happens.

I had forgotten about it…everyone around me knows and doesn’t say anything.

This hurt.  Hurt my little ego and confidence.

Silly I know.
