Crunchy Carpets

Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

One Shitty Thing

May 24, 2007 by Kerry Sauriol 9 Comments

The ‘extra’ passport office was not accepting applications at  2pm today as they had ‘reached their quota.’

They also don’t accept people’s application if they want to leave the country before August 10th.

I am getting the impression that the Federal Government doesn’t actually want us to ever leave the country.

It’s bad in the US too. The wait for passports takes months if you go the regular route, and if you shell out the big bucks for the “express” route you still have a three week wait at least if you are lucky.

I am feeling the need for an intervention coming on. Do I need to drive up there and sneak you through the border in my trunk???!! 🙂

Sorry you’re caught in the passport craziness. I’m still waiting for my renewal and my kid’s first passport. It has been two months now since we applied. The local high school kids who applied in January for the summer overseas studies still don’t have theirs either–and they’ve already paid for their trips!
I’ll think positive thoughts for you, Crunch.
