I don’t know quite how we managed it, but ALL our birthday’s are in a row, this means by mine in August, I am a quivering exhausted wreck and can’t even THINK about birthdays. Today we are at no. 3. We got through April and May and now in June we celebrate how this:

Her teacher called her ‘super, amazing and creative,’ and she is certainly all those things and more. She is her own person, with her own strong views on the world. She has deep thoughts and she and I get into all sorts of conversations about the world and current events. She is very aware, and highly sensitive to what is going on. She amazes me with her strength and individuality while at the same time is so fragile and vulnerable and sensitive. It is truly a rollercoaster ride watching her grow up, but it is a ride I happily accept and share with her.
I can’t believe she is turning 11. I feels she should be turning 16. She is an old soul for sure. A free spirit who dances to her own tune and will fight against the status quo……hers could be a lonely path, but her family adore her and we will do our darndest to protect her on her journey and make sure she has as much fun as she can as she grows up.
