Christmas Magic at Capilano

November 22, 2014 by Kerry Sauriol Leave a Comment

Ok.  I have zip lined.  It was scary.  But I still find THAT bridge at Capilano Canyon to be UTTERLY terrifying.  Yet here I am AGAIN telling you all to go see the gorgeous lights that will make their 2014 debut next Friday.    The lights and decor at Capilano are so lovely, it can’t be missed.

The entire park, including the famous suspension bridge, Treetops Adventure and Cliffwalk, is an extravaganza of hundreds of thousands of magical lights. You can warm up in the comfort of the new Winter Pavilion. Family activities include scavenger hunts, gingerbread cookie decorating, sing-a-long carols and many opportunities for that perfect annual family holiday photo.

Canyon Lights runs Saturday, November 29, 2014 to Saturday, January 3, 2015. Park hours are 11:00am – 9:00pm. Canyon Lights tickets are valid all day with holiday activities beginning at 4:00pm.

Partial proceeds from admission will be donated to the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund with a goal of raising over $25,000. In addition, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park will continue hosting 12 community nights for local charities including Canuck Place, Special Olympics BC, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, North Shore Neighbourhood House, Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, Easter Seals and Kids Up Front.
