My very dear friend has created a great source for searching out gift ideas. Anybody who struggles with finding gift ideas or wants an easier way to find gifts that are in some way ‘better’ – environmentally or ethically or just more fun and inspiring – will now be able to go to The Gift Pages to search for gifts under 6 different gift types: Charitable gifts, experience gifts, gift cards, homemade gifts, physical gifts and service gifts.
Clare is working hard at sourcing out gifts with something. Gift that are local, different, something that is not the usual mall fare and provide you with the links and information about the product all in one place.
The site is very transparent about what it considers makes a gift ‘better’ and Adams consulted various key stakeholders to help her develop a set of criteria that will genuinely help to make gifting more environmentally and ethically responsible. The Gift Pages also has monthly recommended gifts and featured gifts, but is clear that one is editorial and the other is paid promotion. While the site is currently populated with many gifts focused on the Vancouver & Lower Mainland area, Adams is adding to the site daily and encourages anybody with gifts that they would like to see listed on the site to contact her as listing gifts is FREE.
One stop shopping online is pretty much the only way I can get anything REMOTELY interesting as gifts for people these days. I don’t have the time or dollars to be looking all over the ‘cool’ parts of town. THIS makes sense to me – a typical busy mom.
Check them out….provide some feedback so she can make sure she is providing the service that you want!
And yes I am there too: Check out what SAHMedia has to offer through The Gift Pages.
What a great idea and I love that it’s local!
