Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

Walking Easy in Skechers Gowalk

July 20, 2013 by Kerry Sauriol Leave a Comment

When I started packing for our mini vacation to Parksville, I realized I was a  bit short on ‘practical’ shoes.  Flip flops are not the best driving shoes.   Ah Ha…perfect place to really test out the Go Walk shoes from Skechers! I already own a great pair of the Skechers Flex “runners” which even slightly chewed by the dogs are my go-to for walking, but the Go Walk line are like slippers that are okay to go out in public in.  They are that comfortable with or without socks.

Suffice it to say I have always liked the Skechers brand for shoes for the whole family.  The price point is good and the quality is there too, so they will always last you longer than one shoe ‘season.’  My mom has already picked up a pair for herself and loves how light weight they are.  That is what is great about these shoes.  They are so light and bouncy.   I love them for trail walking around my neighborhood and they did fantastic as driving shoes on our 3 hour trip from French Creek to Sidney, BC.

Navy Go Walk

They come in all sorts of fun colours…..the Navy Blue are their most em ‘grown up’ shade.  They are really comfy without socks AND apparently won’t stick up you or themselves due to a “integrated OrothLite sockliner’ which is anti-microbial.

The concept behind the shoes is that these are GREAT to wear in between hard running or workouts because their non restrictive nature allows your feet to stretch and assume their “natural mechanics.”   Basically, they are breathable, soft and bouncy and reduce impact of walking on various surfaces….they don’t hurt your feet.

I will attest to that.  My trip to the island was filled with walking, crazy golfing, driving and beach combing, and I did a majority of it in these shoes.

Go check em out.
