Build ANY Bear at Build a Bear

August 10, 2012 by Kerry Sauriol Leave a Comment

Today, we took a break from the sunshine, and courtesy of Build a Bear we partook of their summertime special where between August 3rd and August 16th, you and your stuffy lovers can pick ANY bear plus ANY clothes plus ANY shoes for $34.99.

Tara had never experienced Build a Bear, so Caity and her teamed up to pick the right new friend for them both. Tara got to pick the stuffy and Caity picked it’s (her) ensemble.

We introduced ourselves to the customer service who then kindly showed the girls each step and where to go.   The staff are great and are there with you as much as you need them to be.  They are there to make it fun for the kids (big and small).

Tara loved chatting with Tara the bear stuffer. She made Tara work at filling her bear (actually Daschund) with live by kissing and squeezing the little heart that had to go in before being stitched up.

The girls both enjoyed the ‘air bath’ and then hitting the dressing room to gear up their new pup.  The visit was finished by typing up the birth certificate for Nada Popstar Pup.

As a non stuffy lover, I am a bit boggled by the draw of Build a Bear, but the kids – both ours and others in the store – seemed to be loving the whole experience.  $34.99 is not a huge amount of money  to spend on a personalized treat.  How about a ‘getting ready for school’ bear!

I want to thank Build a Bear for the gift card and the Metrotown staff for making the visit fun.
