Crunchy Carpets

Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

Keep it together, keep it together….

July 4, 2012 by Kerry Sauriol Leave a Comment

Ooooh man…keep IT together.  Getting into a summer routine has been a bit rough to put it mildly.  I look forward to finding my feet and a routine that works for all of us.

I kind of gaped when our ‘other’ son told me summer was boring already.  It just started.  Hopefully, with them out again tonight playing in self made forts they will all get into some pattern that doesn’t involve them bickering with each other and me all day long.  Keeping the preschooler out of their way and mine is another story.

I would make plans for wading and swimming pools and what not but THIS

THIS is the painters idea of moving stuff. This after I came outside and started moving my things out of the way for them.  “Oh it’s okay, we can do that.”  Yah. Yes you can. Thank you very much indeed.   They still managed to splatter paint on things too.

I can’t even begin to describe the argument about moving my gazebo out of the way in the back yard.   I couldn’t understand why my gazebo was such a bother to them but my shed in the front yard was not.  THAT they managed to work around.  I am mystified by the anger it cause them and how much I had to do to protect it, my patio furniture and all my plants and planters.  They have trashed my back yard.   I am not impressed. I am sick of stuff like this when it comes to being a renter.

I took the dogs out to the park in the mid morning, but their legs were crossed by late afternoon and so it was much relief for all of us to rip open the plastic wrap on the door and let them out into our yard again.   The painters have not yet finished.  Trim and fences need to be done. THAT paint has already splattered where it shouldn’t.  Another day of keeping kids, cats and dogs out of the way while protecting all my stuff.

Oh I love summer so far.
