Crunchy Carpets

Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

The Obligatory Halloween Blog Post

November 1, 2010 by Kerry Sauriol 2 Comments

This year’s photos are not about how cool our display was since this year we frankly did not have the energy for a GIANT display. I did make the place look pretty good with the help of Adam and he carved his very own pumpkin all by himself for the first time this year.

First time I could let him use a knife without screaming!!

This WAS however, Tara’s first Halloween where she was able to participate and boy did she figure it out quick! She did not let go of her little bucket and despite being a tad nervous of the scarier costumes…insisted on barreling up to the doors herself and trying to help herself.

We made George Lucas proud this year with our Star Wars themed kids…..

And our little Ewok was in heaven hanging with all the other scary kids!!

It was also great to have some of our GROWN UP friends come and hang with us. We have not been very good at maintaining and nurturing our friendships this year…lack of sleep, worry, LIFE has made us a bit self involved this year..and for that my friends out there, we are truly sorry.

So thanks for the laughs and sharing Halloween again with our crazy kids!

And THANK GOODNESS the rain stayed away for the kids but started in time to silence what could have been a noisy night of teen lit firecrackers.

I love the costumes! And I totally agree about the rain holding off until just the right moment. Hooray for well-timed weather!

Nice costume choices! If it wasn’t tacky or weird, I would totally live in a Star Wars themed house so I fully approve of the costumes.
