A while back the most awesome Jeanette Miller of Limelite PR, a local boutique PR firm that focuses wholly on connecting brands to moms, asked if I wanted to be part of a proposal to speak at Northern Voice about marketing and mom bloggers. I was amazingly flattered and said yes.
Sadly, her proposal was not accepted. However, they still wanted a mom panel and asked if I could still participate. I said yes again and now with some other AMAZING mom types am presenting a panel entitled Family Matters: Blogging the Parenthood Experience.
I am speaking with Danielle Christopher, Amber Strocel, Harriet Fancott and Manda Aufochs Gillespie.
We are presenting on Saturday, May 8th, at 2:30. The conference takes place at the Life Sciences building on the UBC main campus.
Am slightly freaked now. But looking forward to it.
I have never attended Northern Voice…it always sells out before I have a chance to grab a ticket.

Interesting panel. I am a brazilian jornalist who just moved to Vancouver this year and, like you, writes about parenting in my home contry newspaper blog. Pretty cool! Congratulations! looking foward to see you at northernvoice, hopefully with the full pass gift. 🙂 all the best!

I just started writing again this year (after ~10ish year hiatus) and now have 2 blogs I maintain.. a personal/business related one (http://unityintegration.blogspot.com) which is super eclectic, but I share everything from poetry to Pilates to fitness to music to massage to…?!? (& the fitness & Pilates stuff may be off interest to your Mom readers! I teach it & will have a contest of my own coming this summer for a Pilates package) And then my “other blog” is one I just set up recently for the Strombo Show (radio show) fan chat sessions I host (http://stromboshowchat.blogspot.com) …
The latter’s setup & other requirements have taken me away from personal one for the last month.. but I’ve ~40-50+ draft “articles” I’m working (and some contests of my own soon I hope – mentioned above).. but I’d love to be able to attend an event like this.. as it would be wonderful to meet & network w/other blogger & people in the IT industry.. plus.. meet all these great ppl I chat w/online/Twitter, etc in person finally!
