The scene: Bed time is upon us. Tara is screaming. I mean SCREAMING. Daddy is out. The older sibs are taking advantage of this and trying to ‘negotiate’ bed time and tv time with me. Did I mention the screaming baby?
Picture the sweaty and flustered mom in kitchen beating to death the Tempera bottle because she has been thwarted by the CHILD PROOF CAP.
It took a pair of pliers to open the dam thing. PLIERS!!!
I might have screamed FUCK a few times at the bottle and the children. I am sure the neighbours loved that and with the patio doors being open, they probably have called child services by now.
I can only imagine what the teachers hear about shit like that.
Next the bath tub pics of the kids will be deemed pornographic and I will be tossed in jail.
Is it quiet in jail?
The image of their red faced and rage fueled mom finally must have sunk in and they both scurried away to bed without another word.
This morning my son’s first words to me were “Are we grounded?” Hmmph…bloody well should be..but nooooo…the meltdown was MY issue ..not his. Even though the NON STOP YAMMERING AT ME did exacerbate the situation.
So no, dear..you are not grounded today. Yet.
Crunchy Husband returned home later that evening….he was tired and hungry after a long day.
I could tell as he stared forlornly into the fridge that he was really really hoping that I would spring up and throw some dinner together for him..but he didn’t ask. He could sense the sweaty flusteredness by the way I was slumped in front of the TV watching ‘Eastwick’..WTF is up with that show!!!??
So….let us hope that THIS evening goes a tad better right?

I wanted to also say that blogging with a 9 week old around is HARD! I tend to tweet more than blog. My life IS 140 characters long these days.
But…the charming Hilary at Granville Online asked if I wanted to do a post for her and did! I managed to….even though I am behind in my many writing tasks...I did get this one done.
Thank you for the guest post opportunity!
I subscribe to Granville and really like it. Hilary and the online crew do a great job with a very active site and online presence. Check em out!
Go comment lots so I can post for them again!

I do have other stuff to blog about….but she is calling me again, and then it will be time to pick up my son from school….and we all pray that that is going well for him!
“Is it quiet in jail?”
