Mmmmm cake….
Diplomat Bakery cakes are sure pricey, but really really worth it….This was TRIPLE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE!

And worth the drive too. The Bakery is at the ass end of No. 2 Road in Richmond..right on the water….GORGEOUS views..we had to tool around the area for a bit, it was all so pretty.
The cake was for Patrick (Crunchy Husband). He turned 39 yesterday. His birthday consisted of me leaving him a gift before heading out to the lab for my three hour glucose test, him having a business meeting and then having the kids present their homemade cards to him when we finally all got back together again after 3 pm, and me falling asleep by 9 pm.
Whoo boy.
The weather has been great this week. This means the kids vanish outside and come back amazingly dirty.
They are happy. My floors are trashed.
I have laid out all the stuff to clean up the back yard/patio. The weather is perfect for it. I have not done ANYTHING yet.
I have been sleeping better since starting the iron supplements. I hope this means they are working and that I don’t need to worry about THAT anymore.
I figure I will hear tomorrow about the glucose test as they have been quick with the results of the other one’s.
Fingers crossed I ‘passed’ that one. I do NOT need any more stress added onto this pregnancy…I have hit the third trimester and would like to think I am on the home stretch and would really like to just enjoy getting ready for her arrival and all the waddling involved!
Speaking of babies…the kids finally met their little cousin..he is sooo sweet. They were disapointed that he slept the whole time though.
So, being that mom has a gift for him, we are hoping to drive out on Monday EARLY to beat traffic, so the kids can have a chance to see him possibly AWAKE.
However, my brother in law wants me to bring his Grandmother and I am not keen on THAT responsibility. She is 89 and infirm and it is a LONG drive to Chilliwack.
Will think about that.
Today we are dealing with a cat in heat…I really need to book her spaying soon. We can only take so much of that yowling.
Saturday I am going to a seminar on ‘Talking to Boys’ by Barry MacDonald….I will let you know how that goes!
OMG, that cake sounds amazing…SO NOT on my diet. *sigh*
