Crunchy Carpets

Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

No Peace for the Wicked

April 20, 2009 by Kerry Sauriol 3 Comments

Sunday Morning.

I was sleeping on the couch due to giving up dealing with restless legs and snoring husbands.  (the couch actually has been comfier for my preggo body!)

Anyway..this means no escaping the early rising children, who thankfully we not up THAT early..it was about 8 (thank heaven for a late night before!)…but for some reason I was NOT ready to surface..I needed more sleep.

So grumpily told them that they could watch tv, play games, whatever…DO NOT BOTHER ME….and I stumped upstairs to bed.

I then enjoyed another hour and a bit of peace..then they were rebelling.  Husband got up to chase em away..shut the door as he stumbled out.

All was quiet.  But I was NOT alone…..there were eyes. Eyes everywhere!

All three cats AND the dog were on the bed sitting around STARING AT ME ….all being very polite about needing their breakfast too!

I am never alone.

I am always needed!

Indeed, you’re always needed…sometimes I think it’d be nice not to be needed for just one day. *sigh*

Like “Crazy” says, it’d be nice to go just one day without being needed by human, feline or canine. Or the damn vegetables in need of watering, too.
