For some reason it took an OLYMPIC EFFORT to keep everyone happy for Canada Day….I do not know what is going on these days.
We have had sickness and then the heat and the heat makes me really crabby and other stuff has just been ticking me off and Adam is down and on and on and on.
Nevertheless, we hit Queens Park in New Westminster for their Canada Day stuff.
It was nice…low key…..speeches, cake….music, face painting etc all around the kids play and water park.
You can see how much fun we are having….really.
The excitement is palpable.
Hmmmm
This was the happiest moment.
The kids didn’t want to get wet at the water park. Adam didn’t want to TALK to other kids.
Adam thought I wasn’t WATCHING him at the park.
It goes on.
The best was when Caity ran into a preschool friend in the petting zoo…THAT cheered them up…for a while.
Back at home is was drama inbetween myself and Nana drowning our sorrows with wine.
Then hubs came home and all it looked like was that mom was mean and the poor poor kids….sigh.
Oh well….
At least there is a progression of happiness in the pics. In that last on, there really seems to be genuine smiles!

I don’t know why, but my computer has been giving me fits when I come here lately.
You guys look a lot like we do when we go somewhere public and crowded. Our Independence Day is tomorrow and I bet we stay home. At best, we’ll go to the pool at the gym. That’s as much as the kids usually want to do.
