Try checking out iBlogStats here: http://www.iblogstats.com/ it will give you a good idea on what’s taking so long to load.
Also, blogrolls are HUGE and take forEVER to load. Same with BlogLog and Blog Catelog. I’m considering moving all mine to pages of their own just to speed up the front page.
If I were taking a wild guess, I’d say it’s the West Coast Women widget and your Review Bloggers widget that are slowing you down quite a bit.
Maybe give them a page called affiliations or something.

Just so you know, the other issue is the fact that this blog’s code is structured in such a way that the main content appears below the sidebars in the page’s code. As a result, none of the main post text will load until the Javascript stuff (mybloglog/dynamic ads) is finished loading. In the even that those servers are down (which happens occasionally), the main page content will *never* load. I found your blog through MomGadget, and figured I would see if I could figure out the slow-loading problem. It’s quite a bit of what I do for work, so I know what to look for. Anyway, I think the above is the biggest issue.

It doesn’t load THAT slow! Sheesh. I know some that take longer… 😉
