And it happened all of a sudden so none of us had a chance to adjust…
It is like 29 degrees today which is around 90 for the Americans. Tomorrow is forecast to hit around 32 here.   Ouch.
What am I going to do with all these overheated kids???
Clean socks are a privilege, not a right
Yep, hot here as well… up to 36 tomorrow… sigh!
We are going to hit 100! Thank goodness for pools!
this is about the ONLY time of year that I will consider visiting a mall for the free AC.
Cheers
Here in Chicago, we’ve got a cool spell! 79 degrees!
SLIP-N-SLIDE!!!!! Hellz yeah!
Sprinklers, freezies, and fans …
fans in front of them as they make drawings of polar caps…
And nobody in B.C. has A/C. ‘Cause when do you need it? Seriously, you’re in Vancouver? Damn, I was just visiting there; I would have looked you up had I known!

Yes to sprinklers, water, buckets of water with plastic cups for each kid so they can douse one another. Juice popsicles also work wonders when they are worn out from the outside play.
Hope it cools off for you soon!
It was 93 here today. Tonight is the first night we’ve had air conditioning since Saturday! It was broken. Hopefully it’s fixed now!
smoothies and popsicles. a bathtub or kiddie pool filled with water and ice cubes seems like it might be fun. if you want the recipe for the ice cubes I can send it your way, but make sure you follow the directions closely. they’re kinda hard to make.
hope the heat wave rolls on soon (there and here!)
ugh! isn’t it crazy! It got to 40C/104F here yesterday according to my car’s thermometer….45C/113F in my garage. The last time I felt heat like that I was honeymooning in Mexico! Next time you see the little window a/c units on sale, buy one! We got a couple this spring and have an old portable one and this is the first summer we haven’t been stuck in the basement during a hot spell!
