What’s Under My Skirt???

June 20, 2007 by Kerry Sauriol 4 Comments

Hmmm, well a few years ago it was HUGE STINGING BUG.

There was I, bedecked in a flowing fuchia summer skirt. I felt light and summery and breezy. The bug thought so too….it proceeded to bite my upper thighs and butt. I started to leap around flicking up my skirt giving everyone a great show.

So much for light and breezy. Bring on the clowns.

What is under my skirt? Well mostly too worn and totally unsexy underwear. The type your mom would be aghast in case you were in an accident… well that is what my mom used to say…apparently while laying bleeding on a gurny you are supposed to be worried about your appearance in front of the paramedics.

I can tell you that when I was having a strange attack and laying sweating and hyperventilating on the bathroom floor my image was the last thing on my mind.

But what does my underwear choice say about me? I do buy sexy stuff…but it doesn’t get worn. I even bought some nice thongs…but noooo I head straight for the cotton jockeys.

Even when I was young and single and getting ready for a night on the town…I think I tended to keep the outerwear hot and the underwear….not. Was I a tease…a ‘look but don’t touch?’ I for sure gave that vibe. This standoffishness and coolness was confirmed by my husband. I was apparently a bit unaproachable. This has been told to me by male friends too who claim they were too intimidated to ask me out. Not by my stunning good looks (snort) but by the ‘tude. Go figure.

Perhaps all introverts are the same. Yes? No?

So what was and is under my skirt? A bit of repression, a bit of fear perhaps?

Is it baggage from childhood?

Maybe I just like to play it safe…and safe can be being alone.

So what is under my skirt? The real me? Fear?

I don’t know.

Maybe you just like being comfortable. Lace can be itchy and thongs annoying.

I’m all about the comfy underpants. I have thongs and NEVER wear them. I wear big ol’ butt covering cotton panties. I have no shame. LOL
