Crunchy Carpets

Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

Who Are We Kidding?

May 30, 2007 by Kerry Sauriol 13 Comments

So I am going to see The Police tomorrow night.

Big nostalgia trip.

My mom and I saw Sting a while back and he got the biggest cheers for all the band stuff instead of his own work.  I think he got the hint.

Yes.  My mom.  And I am seeing this show with her too!  She bought the tickets.

We were discussing our plan of action for the night….dinner? drinkies?

Yeah…

As the thighs spread out and the chins hang further down, I can only feel that any effort would come across as trying just a teeny bit too hard.

We will go and try to look as unfrumpy as possible.

Aw, who cares, just have fun. I figure I look frumpy to anyone over 13, so I try not to worry about it.

Have fun! If you are looking for dinner anywhere downtown, go early! We tried 3 different restaurants on Monday night before we found one where there was a table.

My voice is finally returning to normal today…

Years ago Sting was the last performer I saw at a major venue–I decided I was too old for the hassle of crowds, long traffic lines and inexperienced traffic directors. Sting’s performance was good back then, but I’d love to hear what you think of him back with The Police, now. You and your mom have a grand time!

Have a fabulous time, Kerry! I’m so jealous I could spit LOL As for looking AbFab, you’re wayyyyyyyyyy cuter than Edina and Patsy put together! However, as a tribute to them both, raise a glass of champagne and enjoy the Sting-fest :o)

No fair! I wanted to go too, but the concert is this weekend and I was expecting to actually have a wee baby by then – although he has decided not to show up just yet.

    Have fun.
