Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

More Things I Am Sucking At

May 7, 2007 by Kerry Sauriol 4 Comments

Today is MakeOver Monday and I have failed at my simple goal of getting my hair done.

So goals for this week:

1) Actually call and make appointment for my hair.  I only balk at this because arranging a time that works for Crunchy Husband and or my mom to watch the kids makes it difficult…my hair can take HOURS.

2) Actually CLEAN my kitchen floor.  It is gross and the swiffer ain’t cutting it.

3) Don’t let my depression issues get the better of me.  I had a HORRID battle with Adam yesterday and totally lost my temper and then felt stupid, depressed and remorseful after…….I am sick of it ruining our lives.

4) Make START on the Weightloss Challenge for myself….ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING!

kay?  Good…will let you know.

Mondays are great for getting started. Now if I could just adopt that attitude to every day, I’d be a lot more productive.

It is so hard making appts. fit with everyone’s schedule, isn’t it? Try not to beat yourself up about losing your temper, sweetie! It happens to all of us (Sat. morning for me). Hey,us moms are doing the hardest job there is, and we’re human. Sounds like you need a few hours at the salon. Good luck with the weight loss challenge! Just try and focus on your sparkling floor and on how good you’ll feel once you fulfill your goals.

I hear you on the hair appointments – I usually end up taking my kids with me, and I come home and dry it myself – desperate times sometimes call for desperate measures! Good luck with your plans.

Let me know the secret behind #3. I need to do the same thing but I just don’t know how to anymore.
