Crunchy Carpets

Clean socks are a privilege, not a right

A Confession

April 17, 2007 by Kerry Sauriol 8 Comments

I have never made Rice Crispy Squares with my kids…..

Ever.

I don’t even know the recipe.

(Brought to you because I am sick of those schmaltzy sentimental commercials filled with happy loving families making rice crispy squares together)

You dont have to make them. You can buy them. Trust me not as much fun as in the commericals. We use to make them when we were kids and I dont really remember it being any fun. Just sticky. I say make chocolate chip cookies and eat all the chips instead.

I do cookies. Much less sticky and the kids would just as soon eat the batter anyway. If I’m really feeling lazy we do the pre-cut cookie dough and put sprinkles on it. My kids LOVE that stuff and it couldn’t be easier.

Who says you have to do everything homemade anyway? The kids don’t care.

I don’t bake with my kids. I wish I had the patience for that but I don’t. I hate the mess after.

I have made Rice Crispie squares and there’s nothing to em!
