Wow….almost went into panic mode!
My kind Crunchy Hubby ordered me a fancy new desktop computer. It was ready on Saturday, but we went rushing off to see our friends new baby daughter and never picked up my laptop that we had dropped off so they could transfer all my files to the new one………nice run on sentence there!
So ALL SATURDAY AND ALL SUNDAY AND ALL THIS AM…….NO COMPUTER!
So now I am sitting surrounded by keyboards and boxes and towers, etc….but I need to make sure i have notes or lists of all the websites and things I downloaded that I actually need, passwords, etc..before I get up and running. Oh and a monitor too. That might be useful. That is on its way from Dell.
I did accomplish a lot. I broke the shredder in my enthusiasm for cleaning out my files.  I cleaned the ‘office’ out of stuff too.  I also got to see ‘300’ which is freaking amazing if you like well oiled Spartans kill crazy Persians with much laughter and manly camaraderie and kick-ass effects.  Holy Crap, Gerard Butler had a body that would not quit!
Anyway. I don’t want to rush into this new computer thing. I need to make sure I can set everything up nicely and simply and with just the stuff I need.
What fun. It is an awesome computer though. Oh and a nice speaker system so I can actually listen to music now too!
The funnest thing yesterday was despite the fact that the rain was CHUCKING it down and there was flooding and puddles everywhere….I took the kids and the dog out in it. So much hilarity and wetness and muddiness and hosing small screaming kids down after. I am still trying to figure out how to wash out their rubber boots.
It is lovely day today, but I feel crummy and so the kids ain’t having much fun today.
Oh well.
Glad to be back folks…..missed you over the weekend!
My friend saw the movie this weekend also and she said it was amazing! I can’t wait to see it.
Welcome back!
The bf and I plan on seeing 300 on Saturday. We’re both excited.
2 days without a PC? Thats inhuman!
The 300 sounds cool – have you read Gates Of Fire by Steven Pressfield? It’s a fictional account of Thermopylae and if the films half as good as this book, it will be brilliant….
well i certainly missed you honey! glad it was due to something good like a new ‘puter! yay you!
smiles, bee
congrats on the new computer!! I want to know what you think of Vista Windows once you have tried it a bit!!
